Service Description

Bottled provides email forwarding and sending services that allow you to create custom email addresses on your own domain. Receiving is handled via Cloudflare Email Routing, and sending is handled via Amazon SES.

Account Terms

By creating an account, you agree to:

• Provide accurate and complete information
• Maintain the security of your account credentials
• Accept responsibility for all activity under your account
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account

Acceptable Use

You agree not to use Bottled to:

• Send spam or unsolicited bulk email
• Send malicious content or phishing attempts
• Impersonate others or engage in fraud
• Violate any applicable laws or regulations
• Infringe on intellectual property rights
• Harass, abuse, or harm others
• Attempt to circumvent service limits or security measures

Plans & Service Limits

Bottled offers three subscription tiers: Free, Pro, and Business. Each tier has different limits on usage:

• Free: 1 domain, 2 emails per domain, 25 sent/month, 100 received/month, 3-day history retention
• Pro ($7/mo): 3 domains, 10 emails per domain, 300 sent/month, 1,000 received/month, 30-day history retention
• Business ($24/mo): 15 domains, 50 emails per domain, 5,000 sent/month, 10,000 received/month, 90-day history retention

Outgoing emails on the Starter plan include a small branded footer. This footer is removed on paid plans. We reserve the right to modify plan limits, features, or pricing at any time with reasonable notice to existing subscribers.

Subscription & Billing

Paid plans are billed monthly or annually via Stripe. By subscribing, you agree to the following:

• Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless cancelled
• Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; you retain access until then
• No refunds are issued for partial billing periods
• We may modify pricing with at least 30 days notice to existing subscribers

API Usage

Bottled provides a REST API for programmatic email management. By using the API, you agree to:

• API keys are per-domain and are your responsibility to keep secure
• API access levels vary by plan: Free users have read-only API access, paid plans have full send and read access
• Rate limits and monthly quotas apply per your plan tier
• Abuse of the API may result in key revocation or account suspension

Data Retention by Plan

Email history (metadata only, not content) is retained based on your plan tier: 3 days for Free, 30 days for Pro, and 90 days for Business. Data beyond your retention window is permanently deleted and cannot be recovered.

Domain Ownership

By adding a domain to Bottled, you represent that:

• You own or have authority to use the domain
• You have the right to configure DNS records for the domain
• You will maintain valid DNS records for email delivery to work

Disclaimer of Warranties

Bottled is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We do not guarantee:

• Uninterrupted or error-free service
• Delivery of all emails (subject to third-party services)
• That the service will meet your specific requirements

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Bottled and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service, including but not limited to:

• Lost emails or failed deliveries
• Business interruption
• Loss of data or profits
• Damages from third-party services

Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these terms. You may also delete your account at any time through the dashboard.

Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of Bottled after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms. We will notify users of significant changes via email.
